The white paper factory process eliminates preprinted forms and envelopes, streamlines the print and mail processes, and lowers operational and postage costs while adding greater value to each mailpiece

Inkjet technology changed the game for transaction mail. This precision type of professional printing propels tiny droplets of ink onto paper at a high speed. It also enables the ability to print full color without the need to pre-print shells. Now, it’s cost-effective to deliver higher quality pieces.

In this episode of Ask the Experts, Perry Fernandes, VP of Operations of PCI Group, shared insights on the company’s adoption of inkjet technology as well as pairing it with other equipment.

“When you jump into this new technology paradigm, it’s the printing and finishing. Then, you need the inserting to back that up,” Perry said.

With both of these pieces in place, we can print roll to roll of white paper, also known as a white paper factory. They can then complete the process by using inserting machines that ensure every letter enters the correct envelope. “We have scanning and integrity checking for this,” Perry added.

Inkjet printers and smart inserters have to work hand in hand to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality. We’re committed to providing all three to our transactional mail clients. Without this technology, there will be a gap in one of these three areas. However, there doesn’t have to be when you partner with a provider like us.
