PCI Group is excited to announce our new facility in Charlotte. The project began last year and is now open for business. The 126,000 square foot building brings the future of transactional print and mail to the present with the latest innovations in technology, equipment, and processes.

Greater Capacity, Improved Efficiencies
With any type of print and mail service, an organization must always consider capacity and the efficiencies required to keep it agile. As adopters of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, our focus on capacity and efficiency had these pillars to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across operations.
Our facility allows us to scale up and down, depending on the volume and needs of our customers. The new space will enable us to expand our White Paper Factory™ framework, which entails feeding large reams of white paper into inkjet printers. The process creates fully variable documents, marrying composed files with in-line production. Each document can include dynamic content relevant to the individual recipient.
Innovation and Future-Proofing Operations
Technology drives the transactional communications industry forward. We’ve been upgrading and updating ours to ensure we have the best tools to meet today’s needs and those of tomorrow.
The Charlotte facility features several of the most sophisticated pieces of equipment that enable automation, accuracy, and quality. Those include:
- High-speed Canon inkjet printers
- BlueCrest Epic inserters
Smart Mail
Production methods in transactional print and mail received an update, as well. We’ve introduced more ways to use technology to usher in the era of smart mail. Precision technology drives this process with proven accuracy.
One of the best ways we do this is by using cameras to scan barcodes. With this information, inserters know which sheets of paper go into each envelope. While we’ve been doing this for years, we’ve improved it to deliver mail automation that is reliable and consistent. It’s why we have an industry-leading 99.9999% accuracy rating.
True Redundancy Achieved
In addition to our Charlotte headquarters, we also have a facility in Irving, Texas. Having two locations that are integrated has been key to our ability to prevent work stoppages in the case of a natural disaster or increased capacity.
With the opening of this building, we also transitioned to a secure, private cloud that connects to both places. We’ve increased security measures with our databases in the cloud to meet and exceed security requirements and regulations.
With this level of backup, we now have true redundancy of operations, the ultimate protection against downtime.
