PCI Group, headquartered in Ft. Mill, SC with a second facility located in Irving, TX, today announced they have awarded a total of five scholarships to students for the 2021-2022 school year as part of their PCI Group Leaders Scholarship program. The scholarship grants amounted to a total of $10,000 with $2,000 targeted to each recipient. The scholarship program is designed to award scholarships to students who are dependents of current PCI Group employees and are currently enrolled at an accredited higher learning institution.
Applicants were required to meet several criteria for selection including the following:
- Must be a child of a current PCI Group employee who has been continuously employed for a minimum of 3 years as of September 1st of the current academic year
- Have a GPA of at least 2.5
- Submit a completed application with an official transcript
- Be a High School Senior who has been accepted to, or a current student at, an institution of higher learning (Undergraduate School, Community College, Technical / Trade School)
- Submit a two-page essay on a predetermined topic
Eligible applicant’s essays were anonymously reviewed and scored by a committee of 5 volunteers. They also went through an interview process with members of the PCI Group executive team and members of PACE, a PCI employee group. The interview was designed to mimic the real-life interview process applicants will likely undergo when entering the job market.
PCI Group Leaders Scholarship program is designed not only to help scholarship recipients with college expenses, but more importantly to help them get a job once they graduate. We help award winners develop their resumes and also give them the opportunity to interview with PCI Group management so they receive critical feedback and advice on their interview skills.
